Thoughts on week 8I usually post on a Sunday for a weekly waiting countdown post, but w/all the rain, and all this house work to do......I picked to sit right here &snuggle next to my computer to write a blog entry about week 8.
2 months of waiting is still stress-free...there seems to be so many things I still have to do, to prepare for Kayla, that the wait has been really good for me thus far. I don't know if this will be the case once I see her pretty little face, and have to wait before I can bring her home.
I also had the thought that most that read my blog outside of my mom are those that I have met in the circle of international adoption who are just like me in the process, or who are home now w/their children. I thought that maybe I should allow more the opportunity to take the journey with me, like friends and co- workers, but then I thought would they really go and read, and be interested? Or, would I need to be w/belly or baby in hand to make them more interested and curious and to visit my blog on a regular? well I don't know, only time will tell, but for right now I like the small circle of friends I have allowed in that are supportive, and encouraging. So as I remind myself of my reasons for starting a blog, which were to keep family members along w/friends made aware of how my process was going, and where I was in the process, is what I would like to think I have accomplished, however, I also know it won't be until Kayla comes home, that there will be a sudden influx of visits to my blog as they oooh and ahhh over my baby girl.
I say all that to say, it is ok, that for now there are only a handful of people that stop by to view whats happening w/my adoption.
so here is to week 8..........don't know how to get the pole up and running on my blog, but I am taking bets on the few who read my blog when they think I should get my referral, here are the choices....
Oct 4th
Nov 4th
De 4th
Jan 4th
I say Nov. 4th...........as Obama makes History and becomes our next president,, so will Kayla enter my heart on that day forever. (don't get me wrong, I will take my referral before Obama makes history too.)
